About the Founder
Ifeoluwa, born with albinism in Nigeria, faced rejection and isolation. Her mother’s unwavering love protected her from societal prejudices. After her passing, living with relatives worsened the isolation and discrimination. Meeting and interacting with parents of children with Albinism made her understand that she was not alone in facing all these challenges. This gave her the idea to create a space where people with Albinism can find their new identity and live independent.
Our Story Why "Iretiola"?
In Yoruba, it signifies the 'Hope of tomorrow.' In a world where people with albinism often face stigma and exclusion, we choose to lead with hope as our strongest tool. We amplify the voices of the albinism community to dismantle discrimination, ensuring that tomorrow’s promise is one of justice, safety, and equal opportunity for all."
